Stuff a raccoon in the hole to plug a leak? Hah …lots of great words here.
A racoon (as any but a landlubber will know) is a short spike on a T-shaped handle, generally used for securing a stuns’l to a jackstaff, but frequently pressed into other uses.
Well forgive me for not knowing all the nautical lingo you used in your poem here…most of us are landlubbers these days anyhow. I won’t even ask what those other things are you mentioned

Well, I can’t say you didn’t warn me this might happen. I am completely in the shanty closet on this one – and without a miner’s cap! Nice roll to it, though.
Nice roll? That’s a gentle Atlantic swell.
You can’t blame me…. LOL… I live on the Gulf of Mexico – we either have nice rolls or cat 5 hurricanes. T xxx
