Just out of curiosity – have you been wearing the souvenirs, the items to be burned, the towel or the complimentary biscuits? I see no mention of clothing 🙂
My clothes exist entirely in your imagination.
it’s good to know suitcases are still being used.
the backpack craze almost eliminated bus station storage lockers
and the roll out cafe conversations into vertex of we.
I just passed one of those places where they stack old grips, valises, suitcases sixteen high. You walk between them, they creak in the wind, you quicken your pace, just in case they fall. They never do.
and for the next trick ladies and gentlemen, the above items will be stacked atop a rickshaw stacked atop an elephant. maestro…increase the wind.
Oh this made me laugh…so characteristic of some people.
Almost what the poem’s all about. 🙂
Some people steal their entire linnen from hotel rooms!
I have an endless supply of sachets of shampoo.
I agree with your premise… But if the luggage is still open, why not throw in another poem or two, Marie, dear? 😉 E
I leave them as tips for the chambermaid.
A wandering minstrel with a pen… You are so flexible. 🙂
The utility of traveling light!
No comb, no toothbrush…
