More songs of the South… keep singin’! They are uniquely comforting. Cousins?
Alright. I’ll bite. Do you mean the country references or us personally?
I mean that many of the people fighting at Gettysburg had grandparents who were born British.
Ah… well, then yes. We are cousins. Fully 3/4 of my family tree is from the UK – all the countries. They came here in the 1600s for the most part – some as late as the mid 1700s. Then they all went to Appalachia where they forgot how to read and write. I have documents from my family’s applications for Civil War pensions that still have and x for a signature. Apparently, some of them also lost track of the etiquette of marriage – you know – one at a time. Mmmm… overlappers is what I call them. 🙂
maybe that’s just what she’s looking for…?
It’s possabull, it’s possabull…
