Love this one, too. A poem within a poem. Like a Russian doll within a doll. Are talking about the park or the homeless veteran? A soulful question mark. Well painted.
I was looking at a grassy bank at the South Inch, Perth; it was covered with leaves – yellow, russet, brown, some green – and it seemed to be just like a camo coat…
Such a grand universe can be woven around a few well-chosen, winsome words!
I got the impression of a soldier trying to rest in a mud-slapped battlefield. Maybe I’m overanalyzing, and maybe because it was recently November 11.
Interpretation is part of the creative process – ask any semiotician. 🙂
