So sad when birds die. Yesterday I saw a seagull eat a young black bird, that had just left the nest (second nest) . The mother bird watched, then immediately started to eat. Go figure.
Not something we can readily understand, because we can only perceive as a human perceives.
Thank god, we cannot understand each and everything.
Even if we could, there’d be some slippage.
I had a pet crow once. It flew into my parents’ basement when I was a kid, and I cried buckets when it died three days later.
No place for one of my snappy, surreal answers here. It’s amazing what mortality does to a kid, because back then we feel immortal.
