fragment 513

by kvennarad

Nature, though it is essentially a narrative, refuses to be glossed in any other way; it never occurs to a frog that to be kissed is an option. However, the fact that the sound of a kiss and that of a frog breaking the meniscus of a pond are similar, wakes up the giant Taxonomy, and makes him stride around, bullish, sweeping stuff up in his arms, garnering and sheafing it. © Marie Marshall
