Reblogged this on lifelessons – a blog by Judy Dykstra-Brown and commented:
love Kven’s poetry. It is always original–surprising and beautiful. Today’s I especially like, so I’m sharing it on my blog.
Okay. I have to reblog this. It is just wonderful. What a fine mind you have. Is your name Marie Marshall or Kvenna Rad? If kvennarad is not your name, do you mind telling me what it means?
My name is Marie Marshall. The title of this blog is KVENNA RÁÐ, which is Old Icelandic for ‘Woman’s Counsel’. It comes from the proverb “eru opt köld kvenna ráð” (“woman’s advice is often cold”), first found in the medieval ‘Gisla Saga’.
Thank you very much for the re-blog. 🙂
Lovely round up.
I corralled everything!
