The buggers get everywhere.
Poor Poe Crow can’t catch a break in anyone’s eye , hard to compete with a cloud cow and her calf. Crows probably don’t care much for puppies and kittens either.
They do if they’re not moving.
Quid pro quo, kindda sortta. Still or not. Who’s to say Crow isn’t stealing a glimpse out the back of his head. I think he’d pinch a diamond-sized perfectly cut metaphor such yours in a heart beat.
Now it occurs to me – of course! – crows’ vocabulary consists of one word, which is impossible to ‘read’ because it has no opposites against which to test itself.
